About me
Michelle Muldoon is passionate about running and first heard of ChiRunning® in May 2006 after reading an article in Runner's World. A consistently injured runner, she was totally frustrated by endless visits to physiotherapists, podiatrists and running stores in the hope that all her running woes could be fixed by the "right pair of shoes"!
Practising ChiRunning® has taught her that her injuries had nothing to do with her running shoes and everything to do with how she moved her body. Michelle discovered intelligent movement, the power of good postural alignment, a relaxed body and a focused mind.
ChiRunning® has given her the possibility of running for the rest of her life, with more efficiency and less chance of injury. Michelle was trained by both Danny Dreyer, founder of ChiRunning® and Chris Griffin, Master Instructor, and in October 2007 became the first Certified ChiRunning & ChiWalking Instructor in the UK. Michelle was appointed a Senior ChiRunning Instructor in December 2012.
Since becoming an instructor, Michelle continues to work on her teaching skills and running form. She has travelled to the States in 2009 and 2011 for instructor weekends. She assisted Danny Dreyer training new instructors in Amsterdam in 2009 and assisted Marion Meesters, Master Instructor training new instructors in Berlin in 2012. She assisted Danny and Katherine Dreyer at Chi Week in Asheville, North Carolina in June 2012.
Michelle has featured in the London Evening Standard, Trail Running Magazine and Women's Running Magazine. She writes a blog for Chi Living.
She enjoys teaching these techniques and is passionate about empowering people to be able to run injury free for the rest of their lives.
